Dr. Walker has a particular passion for supporting individuals from Black, brown, and other historically marginalized communities, creating a therapeutic space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered.
Dr. Walker believes that therapy works best when it begins with a safe, trusting relationship. Her style is warm, collaborative, and person-centered, balancing compassionate support with thoughtful exploration. She enjoys helping clients better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, establish healthy boundaries, and make intentional choices that reflect their values and the lives they want to build. Whether someone is returning to therapy or considering it for the first time, Dr. Walker strives to create an environment where clients feel genuinely seen, respected, and supported.

Dr. Walker earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University. She completed her predoctoral internship at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System and has worked in hospitals, outpatient clinics, residential treatment programs, nonprofit mental health organizations, high schools, and university counseling centers. These diverse experiences allow her to thoughtfully support clients from a wide range of backgrounds while remaining attentive to the unique cultural, relational, and personal contexts that shape each person's life.
"It's hard to describe my approach to therapy without sounding a little like a cheesy commercial, but I really do love this work. I became a psychologist because I've always been fascinated by people: why we do what we do, how we make decisions, and how our experiences shape us. Over time, though, I've realized that what keeps me here isn't just that curiosity. It's how lucky I feel to sit with someone while they work through things they may have never said out loud before. Watching people make meaningful changes and grow into a version of themselves they couldn't imagine when we first met still feels pretty magical to me.
As a Black psychologist, I know that none of us exists outside of our identities or the systems we live in. I try to keep all of those different parts of who you are in mind as we work together, because they matter. I want people to feel seen, cared for, supported, and empowered during our time together. Whether you've been in therapy before or you're just curious about trying it for the first time, I'd love to get to know you and see whether we'd be a good fit."

ACCEPTING CLIENTS 01/01/2027
As a therapist, It is my goal to help individuals navigate emotional challenges and relational patterns that impact personal and professional growth. Drawing from an integrative approach, I combine humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to provide a comprehensive therapeutic experience. Sports psychology is a specialized clinical interest, based on diverse experiences working with athletic populations throughout my career. I believe in the power of authentic, empathetic relationships to foster healing and self-awareness. By exploring unconscious patterns and reframing limiting beliefs, I work collaboratively with clients to facilitate meaningful change and personal development.
Our therapeutic approach.
As a practice, we believe an integrative approach is the most responsive and attuned way to engage in psychotherapy, meaning that what we do in each therapy session differs based on the person we are sitting across from.
